These are im-measurably rich in fir,cedar, spruce, and hem-lock, and their enor-mous value is greatlyenhanced by their ac-cessibility. The mostcommon and valuableof the trees is theDouglas fir. It growsperfectly erect until itends in a pyramidalcrown two hundredfeet or more above theground.
