It is to be remem-bered that the base of the triangle or the body of thecravat is to be placed upon the portion the designation ofwhich forms the final portion of the name of the bandage;thus, in the fronto-occipital triangle, the shape of the hand-kerchief is given, and we know that the base of thetriangle is to be applied to the forehead and then pass tothe occiput. In using the cravats the same rule applies;thus, in the bis-axillary cravat, the body of the cravat is Fig. Bis-axillary cravat. to be placed in the axilla of the affected side, the extremi-ties crossed over the corresponding shoulder and carriedover the chest, one before, the other behind, to the axillaof the opposite side, where they are secured. To applythe bis-axillary cravat (Fig. 26), a piece of muslin a yardand a quarter long and eighteen inches in width folded intoa cravat is required; this bandage maybe used to holddressings to the axilla. 32 BANDAGING. The Cruro-pelvic Triangle. This bandage may be applied with a piece of muslinfolded into a triangle a yard and a half long and two feetdeep. It is applied by placing the base of the triangleobliquely across the right groin and conducting the superiorextremity around the left side, across the loins to the rightgroin, when it is secured. The inferior end should becarried around the upper part of the right thigh betweenit and the scrotum, to a point near the superior extremity,and fastened with a pin (Fig. 27); this b
