Spc. Jose Velazquez, of Chicago, Ill., installs an ammunition can for his M-2 .50 caliber machine gun in preparation for a convoy escort mission in Iraq June 3, 2011. Velazquez, a motor transport operator with the 377th Transportation Company, has conducted these types of missions for the past 10 months. The Fort Bliss-based company is deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation New Dawn.
