The image is the pinnacle of the Torre dei Scarperi pinnacles also known as the Schwaben Alpen Kopf towers on what was the Austrian Army Front Line during WWI, The White War, near the famous Three Towers, known in German as Drei Zinnen but more poetically named in Italian as the Tre Cime di Laverado located in the Sexten-Sesto eastern region of the Italian Dolomites. During the First World War, the Austrian Army installed a cannon field gun on top of the little peak in order the shell the Italians just over a kilometre away.
