In 1779, he was second in command of Bowmans ex-pedition, and brought a relief party to Blue Licks (1782),but too late for the battle. He was a noted Indian fighter,and in 1793 allied himself with the proposed Kentucky enter-prise against the Spaniards at New Orleans. The same yearhe removed to Shelby County, where he died in 1802.
