District Nurse climbing French Bean. Heritage Seed Library variety. Picked 23rd of September when pods starting to dry and plants starting to die back, before wet weather could rot them on the vine. Air dried on metal racks (repurposed bread trays) in sunny shed window for over 3 weeks. Aprox 10 plants produced a total of 492gms of clean dried beans ready for storage and use in cooking. Extreme weather variations over summer gave poor yield. When cooked similar taste & colour to Bolloti beans. Yum Yum.
