This specimen sug-gests use as a paint-brush. Above this specimen andadjoining it are two sections of wooden arrow-shafts,and a wooden awl or needle. Society Publications The faunal remains found in this sheUer were thoseof the commoner animals and birds, with the wild turkeyand the deer predominating, as at Canters Caves. Themussels and fish were somewhat more in evidence thanat the latter shelters. Determination of vegetable remains and plant fibers,by Professor J. H. Schafifner, of Ohio State University,disclosed two interesting developments.
