A Roman hand rotary mill, 1st century BC - 3rd century AD Flat-bevelled millstone with central hole to accept the trunnion, above which is a corresponding edged handstone with a central, quadratic hole tapering inside toward the central trough, which is notched with an iron bar rest for the trunnion (not present). On the handstone laterally is a horizontal boring for accepting an angled grip for turning the handstone.
