Homage to Martin Luther King, 1968. Martin Luther King Jnr (1929-1968), American black civil rights campaigner and Nobel Peace Prize winner, was assassinated on 4 April 1968, supposedly by James Earl poster advertises an appreciation of his work as a prestigious campaigner against racism. The event was organised by the MRAP, a French anti-racist and pro-peace group, and was held in Paris on Tuesday 9 April 1968, five days after his death.
