The interior of the originally fully buried temple at Esneh or Esna , Egypt, as it was in 1890. It is well known for the inscribed symbols of the zodiac. Esna / Esneh was formerly known as Lounyt, Senat, Senate and Latópolis. The building is also known as the Temple of Khnum or khnoum (various spellings) was used for the worship of Khnum , Heka and Neith and in the 1800's as a cotton warehouse.
