Nokyocho are booklets for having each of the 88 temples on the Shikoku Pilgrimage trail to put the temple's official seal and artful calligraphy into the booklet. It serves as a kind of proof that the henro has visited the temple and as a keepsake of the pilgrimage. Nokyocho are usually buried with the deceased pilgrim when their time has come as a precious seal and calliigraphy and calliigrapher is from Iwamoto-ji Temple No. 37 on the Shikoku pilgrimage .
