A striking example of late 19th Century Peranakan or Straits Chinese architecture, this classic terraced town house in Singapore's historic Little India District is unique for its ornate arched windows, red and white louvered shutters, intricate ventilation ducts and fluted columns. It would have been home at the turn of the 19th Century to a rich local Towkay, or businessman and his family. Lovingly restored, it is a classic example of Peranakan architecture.
