Beautiful flowers covered the country. It was like a Gar- den of Eden, as compared to the Barren CATHOLIC CHURCH AT FORT GOOD HOPE Fort Good Hope is one of the oldest posts in the far North. It has been rebuilt several times, in different lo- calities. There is a large Catholic church here, with a large cross in front, belonging to the mission, and it is the finest l)uilding of its character in the remote North. I took a picture of this I)uilding. There are no white people at this post, excepting one or two priests. Leaving Fort Good Hope in a few hours, we sailed and — 29.
