The car is decorated with signboards/posters bearing the anti-Jewish slogan: Deutsche! Wehrt Euch! Kauft nicht bei Juden! ('Germans! Defend yourselves! Don't buy from Jews!'). This was part of a nation-wide anti-Semitic boycott and propaganda campaign harassing Jewish businesses on April 1, 1933.
