In January, USAID Country Representative John Cardenas traveled to Tripoli to engage with meet with stakeholders for the scheduled 2024 municipal elections. The trip began with a tour of the High National Election Commission (HNEC) and meeting with Chairman Dr. Emad Al-Sayah to express USAID ongoing support for Libyan efforts to ensure credible and transparent elections.
