çvila, Spain - 20 September 2008; no people in view. The intact - and seriously thick - stone and granite medieval walls of çvila - here seen at sunrise - date from the 11th-14 Centuries. Its Old Town, walls and Extra-Muros Churches have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The statue commemorates Saint Teresa of çvila, who was a prominent Spanish mystic, Roman Catholic saint, Carmelite nun, author during the Counter Reformation, and theologian of contemplative life through mental prayer. Cool.
