Namaqua Chameleon (Chamaeleo namaquensis). Mainly terrestrial animal that lives in the hottest, driest area of south-western Africa where it feeds on up to 200 beetles a day and drinks dew, which collects on its skin and flows in channels from its body to its mouth. Habitat consist of sandy areas of the Namib desert to scrub desert. Dist. Western Southern Africa.
