MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 15, 2014) -- Chief Boatswain's Mate Billi Nordhoff, from Rock Hall, Md., and Master Chief Boatswain's Mate William Eno, from Cicero, Ill., salute as the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) renders honors as it passes the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55). Mesa Verde, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
