A cuirass for officers(1815 - 1878),of the 1st and 2nd Bavarian Cuirassier Regiment Light,polished steel plate cuirass with gilded tombac edging and gilded,cast brass laurel branches beneath the neck line. Heavily sculpted back. Gilded brass,flat link,chain on the red,Morocco leather strap. Large lion heads in high relief on the shoulders. Layered lining of scarlet red knit. Extremely rare curiass in beautiful condition,only miniscule stains. One flat chain link torn off(present).
