You now take a small bit, attach to either ring a strong § 25 o M o H 31 i ";'?! leathern strap about half an inch wide, pass these straps A, A, A, A, up over the face to the ring B in the bridle, down through the terrots in tSe saddle, and back through the ring H, then bring them down at right angles, across the quarters and secure them to the shafts on either side, in such a manner as not to interfere with the animal in travelling.
