Built principally of concrete between 1923 to 1926 in Neo-Byzantine architectural style. The use of concrete for an entire building was somewhat experimental at the time, and unfortunately the structure is beginning to show its age with spalled concrete and exposed rusting steel reinforcement. It replaced a smaller traditional church built in 1744. Domfront, above the River Varenne, is south of Flers in the Department of the Orne.
