. English: Tianzhen Holocaust Memorial. Tianzhen city(a county in northern Shanxi, China) was sacked on Sept. 12, 1937 during the second Sino-Japanese War. The Japanese Army led a two-day holocaust on the civilians in the city. According to the statistics, 2520 were killed in the holocaust. In 1946, the Communists built the monument in memorial of the civilians dead in the disaster.
