The Astana is Kuching is a colonial building now used as an official residence for the Governor of Sarawak. The Palace was built by Charles Brooke, the second White Rajah of Sarawak in 1870. It was previously not overlooked by the developments of the Legislative Building and Darul Hana bridge have meant it is now a smaller item on the north side of the river.
