Krishna, hiding in a tree on a river bank, plays the flute. The tree has clothing hanging from its branches. Emerging from the water are four gopis, naked except for their ornaments, asking Krishna to return their clothes. One gopi is attempting to climb the tree whilst a snake is poised to coil itself around the trunk, another raises her hands above her head towards Krishna.
