A pair of silver-mounted flintlock pistols,Cassaignard,Nantes,circa 1780. Round brass barrels,sectioned by balusters,smooth bore in 14 mm calibre with cannon muzzles and floral engraving on the chambers. Lightly engraved flintlocks,each signed "Cassaignard à Nantes" on the brass lockplates. Carved walnut stocks with stamped silver furniture bearing floral ornamentation in relief. Later wooden ramrods with brass tips. Length of each 33 cm. Cassaignard,Nantes ca. 1774 - 1812.
