In the RODENTIA, the scaphoid and lunar are verygenerally united (as in Castor, Dasyprocta, Hydrochoerus,Capromys, Sciurus, Arctomys, Mus, &c.), but not in all. Anos centrale is present in many, as Lepus, Dasyprocta, Hydro-chorus, Capromys, and Castor, while in other genera it isabsent.
