Subcaudals: 41- 53 (c?<^), 36-46 (9 9). Brownish, each individual scale white stippled. A light band not only around the snout, but behind the eyes in the temporal region as well. Maximum size observed (in mm): 443 (tail 66) in males, 558 (tail 63) in females. Specimens examined. Sudan: Gilo (FMNH 62307). Brownish, each individual scale with a large white apical spot; a very broad white band around the snout and on the temporal region.
