African or Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer).


African or Cape Buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large bovid. They weigh between 500 to 900 kg. Males are bigger and heavier than the females. It is a successful grazer in Africa. They have few predators other than humans. Lions do eat buffalo ut it takes several lions to bring one down and kill it.
