Night portrait shot of gold heart at the base of a red lights Blackpool Tower reflecting in a beach sand pool, Central Promenade. The heart, near the tower base, is 9 metres (29 feet) wide and has recently been installed asa display of love for the town. The sculpture is made up of 900 programmable LEDs and is a quarter of the way up the west side of the tower. The tip of the heart is about 39 metres (128 feet) above the promenade. The heart is part of the computer-controlled lighting system of the tower and can be operated in isolation or in combination with the lighting further up. In 2013 and 2014 the blue 'Bling Jewels Illuminations', sponsored by Beaverbrooks the Jewellers, were located on this section of the promenade.
