Votive shrine to the Immaculate Conception, dating back to 1904, on the facade of a building in the centre of Alassio (Savona), Liguria, Italy
This inscription celebrates the installation of a votive shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary in Alassio. The event took place on 20 November 1904, during a religious celebration that attracted a large crowd. The effigy of the Virgin was carried in procession through the city as a symbol of faith and piety, and then placed in a new shrine along a new street. This act commemorated the jubilee of the dogmatic definition of the Immaculate Conception, which took place in 1854, and the shrine was intended for veneration by the faithful.
