Frank Buckshadt, manager of the Grand Leader's flower department, says they have had a busy vpeek in nursery stock and also in cut flowers, of which they had several special sales, in roses, sweet peas and violets. George Waldbart and M. M. Ayres, on Grand avenue, have tastefully ar- ranged stores for Easter, and are show- ing their usual excellent line of plants and cut flowers. W. J. Pilcher, of Kirkwood, has de- cided to grow roses for this market, and the big house that will be built this summer will be used for that pur- pose. Paddy Patton 's identity has been dis- covered. Paddy made it known to friends last week that he would make a trip this summer to Ireland, to visit relatives. The question arose, how could he have relatives in Ireland when his real name was Wilhelm Hunzmiert Grimm & Gorly, the Kiessen Floral Co. and Alex. Siegel, downtown flo- rists, are making great preparations to handle a large Easter business in plants and cut stock. Adolph Steidel, son of John Steidel, of Olivette, Mo., is now in the employ of Vandevoort's, in the cut flower de- partment, and young Mr. Jaenicke, son of Adolph Jaenicke, is also at this place, with Mr. Wells in the nursery department.
