During their visit, Thibodeaux and Reynolds sat down with Lt. Cdr. Hillary Gage and Electronics Technician Master Chief Terrance McManus to discuss the transition of the detachment to a learning site. They also toured the barracks and were given an inside look at the schoolhouse where electronics technician and information systems technician students are taught the fundamentals of strategic satellite communications in an integrated setting with Army students. Both Thibodeaux and Reynolds sat in on a class to see how it is taught and Electronics Technician 1st Class Andrew Ledford provided a more in depth look at one of the antenna earth terminals on site.
