Onthe organization of the Army of tlie Mississippi inMarch, 1862, this division was called the FirstGrand Division, and after the consolidation witlithe Central Army of Kentucky, on ]March 29th, theFirst Corps, Army of the Mississippi. On August15th, Polks Corps was reoi-ganizcd as the RightWing in ten divisions, with over fifteen thousandpresent for duty. In the Army of Tennessee, theRight Wing became the First, or Polks the battle of Chickamauga, Polk was relievedof the command, and
