Miniature reproduction traditional stavkirke (Stave Church), Savjord, Beiarn, west of Rognan, Nordland, Norway


This miniature reproduction traditional stavkirke, based on the church at Gol, was built by retired carpenter, Magnus Stensland. It has a height of 11 metres and can hold about 20 people. It took three years to build, was completed in 2008, invested by the Bishop in February 2009 and the first marriage was conducted there in May 2009. Picture was taken in June 2009 when only the lower sections of roof had been tarred.
