Stroke rehabilitation system. Researcher testing a system designed to help hand and arm rehabilitation in those recovering from a stroke. The device being tested here is a hand sensor device, able to provide tactile sensations that mimic those felt in everyday situations. These devices use vibration, squeezing motions, and thermal memory alloys. They can be used on their own or together with rehabilitation robots or other technologies. Photographed in 2011.
