The Air Force District of Washington commemorated the Air Force's 68th birthday with the official ceremony on Sept. 17 with a celebration of music, drill and ceremony, aircraft, and fireworks on the Air Force Ceremonial Lawn at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The event included flyovers of several aircraft that included the Air Force Thunderbirds and a Warbird vintage aircraft squadron, as well as performances by the Air Force Band and Honor Guard.
