The monument for the victims of political terror in the Soviet Union in Lubyanka Square, Moscow. The stone from the Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea was placed here in 1990, opposite of the headquarters of the Soviet secret service KGB, now of its successor. People have brought flowers and candles in commemoration of the victims. In 2022, the usual ceremony of reading the victims' names was prohibited by the authorities.
