He took the degree of B A., Oxford, in1886, and that of in 1S93. He took Holy Orders, beingordained by the Bishop of London, Deacon, 1888, Priest, was Curate of St. Stephens, Westminster, 1888-90;Secretary for General Purposes to the Society for PromotingChristian Knowledge, 1890-1 ; Chaplain and Lecturer ofUniversity College, Oxford, 1S93 (which offices he still holds) ;Fellow of University College, Oxford, 1893-5 > Rector ofSt. Martins with All Saints, Oxford, 1895 (and still is) ; andfrom 1897-1901 was Examining Chaplain to the Bishop ofWorcester.
