'Leaping Arch', outdoor sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy. Drumlanrig Castle, Queensberry Estate, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

The 'Leaping Arch', which is positioned in the Marr Burn, was commissioned by the Duke of Buccleuch in 2009 and was designed and constructed by the internationally renowned and locally based artist Andy Goldsworthy. The arch is built from sandstone extracted from the estate's own quarry (where the Castle stone itself was sourced) and represents a salmon leaping up stream to its spawning ground.
