Monks in the prayerhall at Stongdey Monastery, Zanskar, Ladakh, northern India, approximately 18Êkm north of Padum. The gompa was founded in 1052CE. About 60 Gelukpa monks reside here. Also known as Thongde or Stonde Gompa.
