Caterpillar Valley cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries on the Somme and contains 5197 UK burials, 214 New Zealand, 98 Australians, 19 South Africans, 6 Canadians, 2 Newfoundlanders and 38 special memorials most remain unknown. The cemetery also commemorates the New Zealand Unknown Soldier who's remains were removed from the cemetery and repatriated to Wellington for ceremonial burial, seen here with some of his pals who also perished
