Le Berceau by Berthe Morisot franch french Woman Baby

Berthe Morisot (January 14, 1841 – March 2, 1895) was one of only two Impressionist artists (the other being Camille Pissarro) whose works were exhibited in all of the original impressionist shows. She was the grand niece of Fragonard and sister-in-law of Édouard Manet. Like her contemporary Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot preferred to paint women, children, and domestic scenes.
