Shuttle astronauts. Astronauts Brian Duffy and Brent Jett (at left) read a computer print-out. The print-out is of information transmitted to the Shuttle Endeavour from Earth during Mission STS-72 (11-20 January 1996). The crew were Brian Duffy, commander; Brent Jett, pilot; and mission special- ists Daniel Barry, Leroy Chiao, Winston Scott and Koichi Wakata. Wakata represents Japan's National Space Development Agency. During this mission the Japanese Space Flyer Unit satellite was recovered and the American Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology Flyer was also released and recovered. Chaio, Scott and Barry also performed spacewalks to evaluate space station assembly techniques.
