Guildford Surrey Wednesday 28th October 215 Suspected gunshots have been heard in Guildford town centre this evening There are unconfirmed reports that someone opened fire from the top of the Friary Shopping Centre. Armed Police have been seen in the area and a number of Road have been closed off. We understand someone has been arrested and the incident is now over. A police car closed Onslow Street from the roundabout outside the Police Station shortly after 9pm. It's believed police locked down several roads into the centre. Statment from Police: Surrey Police was called to Bridge Street, Guildford at 9pm today (Wednesday 28 October) following a suspicious incident in which a number of stones are believed to have been thrown at the window of Wetherspoons. Officers attended and searched the area with the help of the National Police Air Service, however no persons responsible were found. No persons were injured during the incident. ©UKNIP
