Sant Benet de Bages, monastery benedictine. X century. Sant Fruitos de Bages.

Sant Benet is a former Benedictine abbey. Is one of the most interesting monasteries in the country, with items ranging from Romanesque to Modernism's founding era, through the Baroque. The buildings that have survived from the old monastery are many different styles and eras ranging from the eleventh century to the twentieth century, but mostly dominated Romanesque buildings. The organization of the buildings follows the classic model of the medieval monastery, where the core is the cloister courtyard. To the north rose the church, east the chapter house, the refectory to the south, and west bedroom.
