'Mr. Churchill contemplates the ruins of the House of Commons, bombed in May 1941', 1941 (1955). Incendiary bombs which fell on the nights of 10 and 11 May 1941 caused the greatest damage to the Palace of Westminster and the Commons Chamber was entirely destroyed by fire.
