The old historic steel bridge of Taxiarchis, aka De Chirico’s Bridge, near Milies station, in Mount Pelion, Thessaly, Greece.


The bridge of De Chirico is just 500 meters from the station of Milies and its access on foot. It's a unique construction and the only one in the world because the rails do curve on the carrier of the bridge is linear. Its name of the designer Evaristo De Chirico (Giorgio de Chirico's father), is also known as Bridge of Taxiarhis because the stream that runs below it. Also amazing are the works buttress of the mountain with stone harmonizing the environment with the technology of good workmanship and excellent sensitivity for the environment.
