A German pair of fluted gauntlets, circa 1520/30. Gauntlets with four sliding lames on the back (the fourth lame is a replacement on each) and embossed, corded knuckle protectors. The right gauntlet has an attached thumb plate, the thumb plate is missing from the left. The cuffs run to a point and have turned under, corded edges. The cuffs are entirely fluted.
