A pair of Chinese vases of eggshell porcelain, Qianlong marks, probably 19th century Bulbous vases with concave necks made of fine, translucent, white porcelain. Multi-coloured and partially gilt ornamentation in the style of "famille rose" over the entire surface. On both sides, matching oval, mirror-image cartouches depicting genre scenes with several figures, surrounded by rich floral decorations. On each base, the blue mark of the Qianlong period (1736-95).
