5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Oct. 18, 2018) Damage Controlman 3rd Class Kevin McLeod points a navy firefighting thermal imager to check for hot spots and look for personnel in a main engine room aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) during a main space fire drill. Jason Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
